It's All Good

Psalms 73:1

Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good. I guess that leaves no room for God to be anything but good. Well that shouldn't be a surprise to any of us, the Bible tells us this from Genesis to Revelation. It is amazing how many people question God's goodness. His actions have never shown Him to be any other way. In every era and every generation, God has been looking and desiring for blessing to be upon His people.

God has a good plan for each one of us, but not all of us experience it. Many times we live far below the standard that God intends for us to enjoy. For years I did not exercise my rights and privileges as a child of God. I believe this occurred for two reasons. First of all, I was not aware that I had any rights or privileges. Although I was a Christian and believed I'd go to heaven when I died, I thought I just had to do the best I could with what I had while here on the earth. The second reason I lived far below the level of life God intended for me was very simply that I thought and felt about myself the wrong way, I thought that there was no way that I could expect to have God's goodness, after all, I wasn’t doing too good at living the Christian life.

The power of the mind is amazing. The longer I serve God and study His Word, the more I realize how much our thoughts determine nearly everything that happens to us. I have learned that wrong thinking leads to wrong believing, and wrong believing leads to wrong acting.Wrong thinking patterns produce the problems we experience in our lives and Satan offers wrong thinking to everyone, but you don't have to accept anything he tells you. You can learn to rein in your thoughts, gaining control over them and developing thinking patterns that are acceptable to the Holy Spirit. You can know that God is good, and therefore, accept His will for you, because, it's all good.
