Powerful Weapons

2 Corinthians 2:14

Now thanks be unto God which always causeth us to triumph in Christ...

The closer we come to the second coming of Jesus, the more fiercely Satan is going to attack. Today, he is fighting harder and dirtier than ever before. He knows his time is short; therefore, he is seeking to defeat the church, both corporately and individually. We must resist him, remaining steadfast in the faith, refusing to faint in our minds or to bow our knees to temptation.

Are you a Christian? If your answer is "yes', then you are under attack, there is no doubt about it. This enemy of God is out to get you and yours. There is no hope of defeating him without revelation concerning the tools and weapons at your disposal. You are no match for him by yourself, alone you will certainly fall. It is imperative that all believers understand the power of the Word, the Name and the Blood. The Bible says in Luke 4:32, " And they were astonished at His doctrine; for His word was with power." Philippians 2:9-10 says, "Wherefore God has highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things in earth." We find in Revelation 12:11, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."

We see in these Scriptures that Satan is defeated by the Name of Jesus, by the Word of God and by the Blood that Jesus shed on the cross. Jesus gave us the power of attorney to use His Name. When we use His Name, it is as though Jesus Himself was speaking, we are speaking for Him. The Word of God is forever settled and will never change, when we speak in agreement with the Word, there is nothing that the devil can do except obey. The Blood is the basis for all our victory. It was by the shedding of His blood that Jesus brought to naught every work of the devil. We have powerful weapons at our disposal that will always cause us to triumph over the devil. Put them to good use today and win.

MY WORD CONFESSION: I have a powerful arsenal of weapons at my disposal to utterly defeat the devil, and I will us them today.
