Wisdom And Revelation

Ephesians 1:17

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

The Bible is very clear on the issue of wisdom and spiritual understanding. You need to read the whole context of this verse and understand that it is a prayer that Paul prayed for the church at Ephesus. You must remember also that the whole Bible is given for us and the fact that God had this prayer recorded is proof that we can claim to be recipients of the blessings of it also.

You know, so many people think that God is unapproachable, way off somewhere in a never, never land called Heaven. Well, that is just not true. The Bible tells us that God is with us. In fact, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit who is God. He dwells in us and has said that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He desires and has done everything He can do so that He might have full unhindered fellowship with us.

Contrary to much teaching, God wants to reveal His plans and ways to His children. He wants you to walk in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. (See James 1:5) He wants to reveal to you through the eyes of your understanding all that He has planned for you and how He is going to bring about His will in your life. He desires that you have a sense of destiny and of importance in this life. That you know what your calling is and how to fulfill that calling.

It is God’s will that you know about the devil’s total and absolute defeat by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, so that you can walk in fearless victory everyday of your life.

This is really exciting for the Christian who wants all that God has given to him. Enjoy your wisdom and the revelation of Him.

MY WORD CONFESSION: I have received the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
