Soaring Like The Eagles

Written By: Mechele McMichael

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

What is a vision? Webster's Dictionary says it is, the power to be able to see, or the ability to foresee something as through mental acuteness. That sounds great! Now, lets take that a step further. What does spiritual mean? Webster's says that it is of the spirit or soul. Do you have Spiritual Vision? Your spirit must be connected to God's Spirit in order for you to have Spiritual Vision. This can only happen when you accept Christ as your Savior and Lord. He then sends the Holy Spirit to live inside of you. The Holy Spirit helps you to understand God's Word and He alone can give you Spiritual Vision.

When God gives a vision, He allows you to see clearly with your heart and mind. You begin to see things the way He sees them. Where you once saw lies, you now see truth.

When the eagle is flying high, he can see very clearly with his eyes. God wants to give you eagle’s wings and eagle’s eyes in your hearts and minds, so you can envision His plans for your future.

If you want your heart and mind to see what God wants you to see, you must stay close to Him. God wants you to see the way He sees. He wants us to hear what He has to tell you. He also wants you to love the way that He loves.

The Holy Spirit can help you to understand God's Word and to be discerning of the things that are of God. He can also help you to be sensitive to the things of God. His word says that He will show you great and mighty things. (Jeremiah 33:3) You need to have vision and God-given goals in your life that we are striving for. It’s His desire for you to soar in the spirit and to have a fresh vision of going higher, deeper and further with him.

MY WORD CONFESSION: I am waiting on the Lord and I will rise up with wings as an eagle to soar with the Lord.
