Turn The Tables

Ephesians 5:11

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but, rather, reprove them

We as Christians are called to live a special kind of life. We are expected to live our lives in such a way that we bring glory and honor to God. In so doing, there are certain things that we should and must abstain from. We are to have no fellowship with any unfruitful works of darkness, but rather we are to reprove them.

The Bible also tells us in 1 Corinthians 10: 20-21 …and I would not that you should have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink of the cup of the Lord and the cup of the demons; you cannot be partakers of the Lord’s Table and of the table of demons. I can imagine that about now, you are saying what in the world are you telling us this for, we do not want to nor do we have any intentions of having fellowship with demons. We are not going to sit at their table and drink from their cup.

I can tell you that on this day, there will be millions of Christians who will do just that. You see, Halloween is a day that is and always has been set apart for unholy use. It is a day dedicated to the devil. There is not one symbol or inkling of anything Christian anywhere in this holiday. Simply put, it is the devil’s holiday. Just look around at the characters that epitomize Halloween. You will see a host of witches, ghosts, goblins, ghouls and even little devils running all around. Death and the grave are two of the main attractions. Fear is glorified and we know that fear is not of God. If you think that I am wrong, do your own investigating, there are plenty of sources and all will tell you the same thing. Halloween is dedicated to evil and you can’t dress it up any other way. You cannot drink from the Lord’s cup and the cup of demons at the same time.

Instead of having a Halloween party, let’s turn the tables on the devil and have a Hallelujah party.

MY WORD CONFESSION: I will glorify God in my life and will have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.
