Seedtime And Harvest

Galatians 6:7

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

In the very beginning, God established a principle. He said that everything that He had created shall bring forth of its own kind. An apple tree will reproduce and make apples, a fig tree will produce figs, dogs will bring forth dogs and so on it goes. That is pretty easy for most anyone to see, except maybe those who believe that two apes got together and produced a human. I know that oversimplifies the theory of evolution, but still it is pretty ridiculous isn’t it?

The truth that I am trying to communicate here is that there is a law that has been established by God Himself. That law is the Law of Seedtime and Harvest or as some call it, the Law of the Harvest. Simply stated, this law has three main components. First, you always harvest what you sow. Secondly, you harvest after you have sown. Thirdly, you harvest more than you have sown.

This principle is very dynamic and beneficial to us if we learn how to appropriate it. Man has used it ever since the beginning of time in the sowing and reaping of crops. But, it you notice the scripture; it says that “whatsoever” one sows that shall he also reap. It is just as true in every other area of life as it is in the realm of food production.

For example, if you need love, you should sow love. If you need to be encouraged, you should encourage others. In the same way, if you need finances, you should sow financially into the Kingdom of God, as He directs, either directly to a church or ministry or to give help to someone in need.

Let me give you a word of caution here, the whatsoever also includes negative things. If you sow hatred, bitterness, strife, stinginess, discord, discontent and so forth, you will also reap those things in abundance.

Get in on God’s good plan and sow good things and you will reap a bountiful crop of God’s good blessings. Whatever you sow, you reap.

MY WORD CONFESSION: I will reap what I sow, therefore I will sow that which is good and I will reap the good blessings of God.
