In The Spirit Realm

John 3:6

That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

There is a lot of talk these days about the supernatural. This rise in interest has been the fuel for many television specials on spiritual things, the occult and magic. This special interest is really not anything new though. Even back in the days of the Bible, there were people interested in and participating in the supernatural.

Many Christians either ignore this and treat it like it is some myth or fairy tale, or else the totally reject all that is supernatural and say that it is not of God, but is of the devil.

This is really sad that Christians are so uninformed and so uninvolved in the real Spiritual life. You see the Christian life is by its very nature both spiritual and supernatural.

When one is born as a baby into this earthly realm, they are born into the natural realm, with all the facilities to operate perfectly well in that realm. It doesn’t take long either for us to figure out how to use what we have either. Very shortly, our hands are picking things up, our legs are helping us move around and so forth. As we all know, this is natural and this is normal.

Now let me show you something that is not natural and not normal. The Bible says that when we become a Christian, we are born again. Now this birth is not natural, nor is it by the ability of man. It is of God and is totally spiritual. At this time, a person has his spirit life renewed. Now, we are not just mere men and women. We now have the ability and power of God in our lives so that we are not bound totally by the natural. We are now living in the supernatural realm (super meaning superior to or above the natural realm). In this realm, we have authority, we have the power to speak things which are not and cause them to be. We have a new spiritual ability and are supposed to live and operate in God’s Spirit realm.

MY WORD CONFESSION: I am born of the Spirit and therefore I will operate in the spirit and not in the flesh.
