What In The World Is God Doing?

Colossians 1:27

To whom God wold make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

You may never have asked this question in so many words, but all of us at one time or another have questioned what God was doing and what He was up to. This question must be answered not only in the general terms of God's overall plan, but also in the specific terms as relating to you and me personally. The ability to see through the eyes of faith into that spirit dimension and behold what God is up to on His behalf in us is indispensable in living victoriously. Many perplexing and confusing situations will clear up when we get this vision.

In general terms, God is up to this one thing. He is building a forever family. He is preparing His children for permanent residence in that eternal dimension. Everything that happens here is helping prepare us. Jesus lives in us now to conform us into His image. It is the express purpose of God that on the way to glory, our lives should be working examples of the power of the indwelling Spirit to shape a person into the image of God. During this process in our own lives, we become vessels of redemption in our influence on others by the act of revealing the indwelling Redeemer to them

God is desiring to reveal Himself to the world through us. He is not hiding. Just as He was in Christ revealing Himself to the world, Christ is in us to show the world what God is like. He is residing in, ruling in, and releasing His life through us to the same proportion that we are living yielded to Him.

God purchased us through the blood of Jesus and empowered us through the indwelling Spirit that we might be involved in His eternal purposes. God is up to something. The important thing is that we are getting in on what God is up to. We must get off of what we are down to and get in on what He is up to, if not, we will wind up out of it!
