What Does The Scripture Say?

Romans 4:3

For what saith the Scriptures? Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

We are all faced with many decisions each and every day. Some are very important and life changing and some are insignificant and do not really matter all that much.

In every decision there is one very important question that we must all ask ourselves, “What does the Scripture say?” It doesn’t matter what science says, what tradition says, what the world says or even what family and friends say. The Bible is the final authority on every thing.

The world would be a much better place to live in if we would ask that very question every time there was a discussion of right and wrong or should we or should we not. There would be no fighting, fussing, stealing or killing. Historically, where ever the Word of God is given prominence, all of these negative influences and bad events decline.

In our personal lives, the victory and abundance that we so need and desire is totally dependent upon our acceptance of the authority of the Word of God in our daily lives. We simply must let the Word have the final say about everything in our lives.

There is a cliché that says, “God said it, I believe it, that settles it.” That all sounds really good, but the truth is a little more specific than that. In reality, the saying should be, “God said it! That settles it! I believe it.” This is more in line with the real facts. The reason being is that if God said it, it is settled whether I believe it or not. God’s Word is not dependent on my or anyone else’s belief of it to be true. It is simply true in every situation.

If you really want to be right and to do right, ask yourself this question when ever you are confronted with a decision or problem, “What saith the Scripture?”

MY WORD CONFESSION: It doesn’t matter what the world, science or anyone else says, all that matters is what God says.
