Isaiah 42:9
Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare; before they spring forth, I tell you of them.
Each year about this time, I begin to think of the coming fall. Even though I enjoy all of the seasons, I guess fall is really my favorite. When September gets here, I know that fall is on it’s way. I start looking forward to the first cool spell that will be moving in. We have endured a hot summer and now we can see that relief coming. We have the promise that as long as there is time, there will be seed time and harvest, the seasons will continue to come and to go. The cycle was started at creation and has been continuing ever since.
You know, just as the natural seasons come and go, so to do the spiritual seasons of God. So many things in our natural world are replicated in the spiritual realm. One of the problems that we as Christians encounter is the failure to recognize the changing of spiritual seasons and therefore we lose the reality of our Christian experience and fellowship with the Lord.
It is God’s responsibility to let us know when the seasons are going to change. I can assure you that He is keeping up His part of the whole thing. He has said that He will let us know when it is time to make a change. It is His priority to keep us in His divine place of service and fullness of relationship.
It is our responsibility to hear the voice of God and to be willing to change with His changing times and seasons. You see nothing is new with God, He has always known and planned this change. It only seems new to us, because we have not been here before. That is one reason that Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would be sent. He is sent to be our guide and to let us know what God is up to. Be expectant, be willing and ready to go on into the new things and revelations of God. It will only get better and better for you.
