Faithing It

Hebrews 10:38

Now the just shall live by faith; now if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

The Christian life is a very special and unique life. We as Christians have the very special quality that lets us live by a new and powerful force. We can tap into the very storehouse of God who owns all the riches and blessings that there are in this world, the whole universe and beyond. This special ability is faith. In reality it means a trusting dependence on God, looking to Him and to Him only to meet our every need, spiritual, emotional and physical.

Now some, who have not learned the secret of trusting God in faith, would say here that you have to just do the best you can with what you have been given. God puts us here and leaves us to get by the best way that we can. There is only one thing wrong with that statement, it just isn’t true. You will not find anywhere in the Bible that teaching taught, but you will find numerous times the Bible teaches us to have faith, to trust God, to depend on Him. In other words, we are to FAITH it.

You may be saying well, I tried that and it didn’t work. I know, I have heard that myself many times and even felt like that too once in a while. The truth of the matter is, it does work, it has to work because God who cannot lie has said it will. To say faith doesn’t work because you tried it once is like saying automobiles don’t work because you tried one once that had a dead battery and it wouldn’t work. You are not going to stop driving and start walking everywhere just because of one failure are you? Then don’t stop living by faith. The world is faking it, but we as Christians are faithing it. Just keep on living by your faith.
