The Power Of Praise

2 Chronicles 20:22

Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

This scripture in the Old Testament tells of the siege of Judah, by the Ammonites, the Moabites and the Edomites. The King, Jehoshaphat was very worried and sought God in prayer. A prophet in the land named Jahaziel came and delivered this word to the King. He said for them not to worry or to be dismayed by the huge multitude against them, that this was not their battle but His and He would take care of their enemies; the King called an assembly and told them what God had said and that if they would obey the prophet of God that they would prosper. They all agreed to do as God instructed.

The next day when the battle was to begin, Jehoshaphat appointed singers to sing praises to God and sent them out BEFORE the army. As they were praising God, the enemy armies commenced to destroy each other and did not stop till they were completely and totally defeated. Praise the Lord!

Now tell me, do you have enemies that are arrayed against you? They may be bill collectors, doctors with bad reports, in-laws, coworkers, bosses or any number of people whom the enemy would use to entangle and defeat you. It really doesn’t matter who they are or where they are from, you have the most powerful weapon available at your disposal. You can praise God and watch Him fight your battles for you and subdue all your enemies.

Please do not neglect this great gift that is ours. Praising God can be done in any environment at any time. Use this weapon and watch your enemies line up to destroy themselves.

MY WORD CONFESSION: I will release the power of God on my enemies through praise, that shall continually be in my mouth.
