Declaring The End From The Beginning

Isaiah 46:10

. . . Declaring the end from the beginning…..My counsel shall stand and I will do all my pleasures.

Several years ago, a study was done on psychics in America.This study analyzed the published prophecies of the ten top psychics who published prophecies over a three-year period. The study compared all of the published predictions with their subsequent success or failure rate. The results are certainly intriguing: 98 percent of all of their predictions were totally incorrect! Only 2 percent of the total predictions were fulfilled. However, some predictors were much less accurate than their colleagues: six out of the ten psychics were wrong 100 percent of the time as recorded in the study.

The other four accurate psychics made only one correct prediction each during the three-year study. Yet, despite this hopelessly poor record, millions of citizens spend hard-earned dollars on psychics and channellers, looking for guidance in their confused lives.

However, when we examine the prophecies in the Bible, we see an entirely different result of staggering mathematical proportions. The Bible contains hundreds of incredibly accurate predictions of events, verified by historians and archeologists, that defy any mathematical probability. God declares in His Word that these prophecies and their fulfillment are His signature upon the Bible and His verification that the Bible is truly the inspired (God-breathed) Word of God.

Over twenty-five hundred years ago, God hurled forth His challenge to false prophets and false religions (Is. 41:22-23) Thus far there has been no credible response to His challenge. The Lord declares that accurate prophecy belongs only to Him and that He alone can truly prophesy accurately the future of mankind. The precision of fulfilled prophecy offers irrefutable proof of God's foreknowledge and of His sovereignty. Put your trust in God who knows all, the end from the beginning. He has it all under control.
