The In Crowd

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, He is a new creation; old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.

There is a group of people that is known as the “in crowd”. This group is the one that everyone is supposed to want to be like. They have the nicest cars, the most expensive home, and they are always invited to, and are the life of, every party.

I have known people who would do just about anything to get to be a part of the in crowd. They would turn their backs on their friends and family, spend more than they could afford to try to impress, and even compromise their beliefs just to try to impress others so that they would be numbered with the in crowd.

Well, I have news for them and for you. I don’t have to try to be apart of some in crowd, I am a part of the in crowd. You see the Bible says that when a person believes on Jesus as his savior and when they invite Him into their heart and life, they become a part of a much bigger and better in crowd. We are literally placed in the crowd that is in Christ.

Now think about that for a minute or two. In this position in Christ, we have all our needs met. We don’t have to try to impress people with material things. We don’t need to show off to be accepted. We are accepted as we are in the family of God and made to be like Him in His perfection. We are in the eternal kingdom of the eternal God and let me tell you something. We are in the in crowd. We are the crowd that is going in and where we are going is far better than any on earth can imagine. This is great news.

I am in Christ and He is in me, it doesn’t get any better than this.
