2 Corinthians 1 :3
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, the we may be able to comfort them who are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted of God.
Do you ever feel like you've failed? If so, now is the time to give God a chance to really make a difference in your life. He is willing and ready to take you where ever you are. If you have failed, or have fallen, or feel like you've done wrong and have just totally blown it, ask God to forgive you and then turn around and forgive yourself. Turn your failure into a valuable learning experience, a stepping-stone toward becoming a better you.
The medical field tells us that when a bone is broken, the place where it mends, becomes the strongest part of the bone. The same is true when we have broken places in our lives. When we have been hurt, broken, fallen or afraid that is when we can come to God to receive his healing and help. His healing makes those places in our lives stronger than ever before It is His strength that is made perfect through our weakness.
This is also a very helpful truth to remember when ministering to other people. They aren't going to be helped or freed through any fancy work of our own doings. It is only through allowing Jesus to come in and do a mighty work in a life that people are really helped. We must remember that it is He who is the real healer, not we ourselves.
People can be encouraged by our testimonies of struggles, grief, pain, disappointments, losses, and even failure. They can see that we have overcome, and have courage to know that they can too. It's like the story of the one beggar who finds bread and then goes out and shows others where to find it. It is always possible for us to start over if we really want to. God will pick us up, dust us off and send us on our way with a new vision and a new determination to succeed. Failure never has to be final.
