don't focus on the problem

Proverbs 3:6

In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.

In discussions over the years with people, We have found that many people tend to focus on the problem rather than the solution. Steve and I continually find ways to turn a situation around. We teach, believe, confess and practice being positive, finding the good in things, looking for ways to let God work.

A difficult situation can be made worse just by deciding that it won't ever get any better. I know that the devil looks for ways to keep the body of Christ deceived in many areas of our lives. He wants you to believe that the situation that you face is hopeless and impossible. His desire is that in despair, you will eventually just give up and quit the fight and lose the battle..

This is where the word of God comes in. Nothing is impossible with God and those who believe will find that true. We try to tell people, even in desperate circumstances, that this is just an opportunity for you to see the Lord do something great in your life and a chance to see Him answer your prayers.

It is like Steve has shared in a message about the little boy that was learning to ride his bicycle. He was out in a wide open field, that is except for one tree. The father pushed the boy and gave him a good start. He told him to keep on peddling, just watch out for that tree. Well, you know where this is going. The little boy ran right into the tree. Why? That was where his eyes were focused.

We have to be careful to keep our eyes focused on the person who can handle our every concern, care, consideration, and anxiety. We look for ways to help our children solve their problem and God wants us to focus on Him so He can show us His ways to solve our problems. Keep your focus on Him.

MY WORD CONFESSION: In all my ways I will acknowledge and focus on the Lord, He will direct my paths.
