Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
In this topsy turvy world, it is good to know that we can put our faith and trust in the one who knows everything that has ever happened and will ever happen. Many people look to the stars to lead them, we look to the one who created the stars to guide us.
For us to truly be successful in this life, we must learn two things. First, we must learn to hear the Spirit. The second thing is that we must learn to heed the Spirit. We must educate and develop our human spirit so that we will instantly obey the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is imperative that we do this, because God leads us by our human spirit and not by our mind. It is not to say that our minds are not involved in the process at all, God informs our spirit and our spirit informs our mind. It is at this time that things get critical, the mind then makes the choice to either obey or disobey the Spirit’s leading.
Let me insert here that God did not say everything that you here people say that God said. God is getting blamed for things that He never had anything at all to do with. Just because someone says that God told me thus and so, does not mean that God really told them that. This is why it is so important to learn to discern the voice of the Spirit for ourselves. Those who haven’t learned to do this are prime targets for the devil’s deception.
Another thing that you have to watch out for are those who say that God told them to do something, when in reality, He didn’t tell them anything at all, it was just that this is what they wanted to do. Again, God gets credit or blame for something that was man’s idea.
You must be careful when you say that God told you to do a thing. It is true that God will speak to you and lead you, but you need to seek Him and learn to hear His voice so that you can be led by His Spirit.
