Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
I don’t think that any of us have any doubt about the first part of this scripture being true. I have heard it quoted over and over. It is the battle cry of many of the believers in the faith movement of today.
Yet, this is only a part of the real promise and blessing to us as believers. Notice that this verse says also that if we are going to get our needs met and live in supernatural power and ability, must do more than just have faith in faith. This verse goes on that say that we must also believe that He is. Well, of course we have to believe that He is. If He was not, then who would we be believing in?
Remember what God told Moses when he asked Him who He was. God said that he was “I am”. This is another form of that same statement. We must believe that He is. He is what? Well, he is all that we need. If we need health, he is that. If we need peace, He is peace. If we need provision, He is that provision. In other words, He is whatever we need, whenever we need it.
Not only does it say that He is, It also says that He is a rewarder for those who diligently seek Him. I am constantly amazed at how suspect much of Christianity is of God. so many think that god is out to get us and is mad at all of us. After all, we did upset His perfect creation. No, God is not mad at us and His reward is always a good reward. He does not reward us with evil, even though in reality, we don’t deserve anything good. In fact, Jesus died so that He could bless us again.
Today, remember that God is good and that He will reward you with all good things, if you will believe for Him to and seek Him diligently.
