hold fast your profession

Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering (for He is faithful that promised),

Are you looking for a better life, with better benefits? I know that most people are, they are looking to better themselves in lots of ways. Some are looking to better their financial situation. Others want to better their social standing or their professional standing. Still some are looking to be better physically. You know, wanting to lose some weight, get back into shape and the likes. Well, I have a good word for you today. No matter what you are looking for that is good, you can have it if you will do what this scripture says to do.

First of all, let me assure you that God wants good things for you. He is in love with you and has nothing but good planned for you. He says that the thoughts that He thinks toward you are of peace, not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jer. 29:11) That should put to silence the critics who are blaming God for the bad that happens in one’s life. He wants only good things for his children. He wants you to be blessed, to be satisfied with good things, to be healthy, happy and holy. He wants your joy to be full.

If God wants this for us all, then why do so many not have these things? That is a good question, and I am glad that you ask it. Look at this verse, it exhorts us to hold fast, stick too, stay with our profession of faith, not to waver, because God is faithful to all of His promises. I believe that the problem that we so often have with receiving is found right here. We do not hold fast to our profession of faith. You see, there is a Biblical principle that teaches that you will not possess what you do not profess. The opposite is also true; you will possess what you profess. The problem lies in our faithful and steadfast profession. The way it is said in other places is that you will have what you say you have. Now watch what you profess because that is what you get. Hold fast to your profession of faith.

MY WORD CONFESSION: I will hold fast to my profession of faith, because He who promised is faithful to provide it.
