Esther 4:14
…and who knows whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
It is common to find ourselves in situations and circumstances that are at best uncomfortable and unstable. We live in a world that is just that. Often we question God as to why we are in the predicament that we are in.
Sometimes these things are of our own making. When we go out on our own and do our own thing, we often get our lives in such messes that only God can ever make them right again. It is not uncommon for relationships to be torn, families to get at odds, and jobs to be lost, simply because we had to do it our way or on our own timetable.
There are other times that we get into difficult situations and we had nothing to do with it. We are busy serving the Lord and the next thing we know, all starts to unravel around us. This may be simply an attack of the devil. We must remember that he is our adversary and does not want us to dwell in peace and tranquility. In times such as these, we must continue on, resisting the devil and trusting in God.
Then there are other times when we find ourselves in a hard place and we cannot for the life of us figure out why. We don’t sense that it is the devil, we haven’t gotten out of God’s will or timing. It just seems that no matter what, there is going to be a hard time to pass through or a confrontation of some sort.
In these times, simply trust God and depend on His leadership to get you through. There are divinely guided situations in which God has purposely place His chosen for special ministry. Often the greatest witnesses come from the midst of turmoil, As was the case with Esther, you too may have been prepared for such a time as this, to be used as an instrument to establish God’s perfect will in a person or situation. If so, count it as a great blessing and privilege.
