Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
In our daily lives, we can operate either by faith or by sight. Of course, the Bible way is to operate in faith. In fact, the Bible goes so far as to state that if it is not of faith, then it is sin. Also, we are told that the just shall live by faith. This is not a suggestion, it is a command.
There are some definite qualities about faith that reveal to us why God wants us to operate in that realm. As you will see, it is only when we truly live in the faith mode that we are pleasing to and available to God. These statements give us a more complete and overall picture of what real Bible faith is, and illustrate very clearly how that the faith life is the only life that God wants.
The first of these statements is: Faith is confidence in God that results in dependence on Him and total obedience to him. Now you can readily see when you consider the truth of this statement about faith how that it would be pleasing to God. It reveals trust and obedience and both of these characteristics please God.
The second statement is: Faith is the quality that puts you constantly at God’s disposal so that He can work His mighty works through you. Now, isn’t this what life is really all about? It is we, God’s Children, doing His works here on the earth, revealing to the world how great, how good, how loving and powerful our heavenly Father really is.
The third thing that I like to say about faith is: Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible. Wow! What a dynamic and powerful statement. When you live the faith life, you are living in a realm that is supernatural and powerful. The faith life can accomplish things that would be, at best, impractical and even things that are impossible.
It is no wonder that God desires the faith life, it’s the only way to go.
